We had a great weekend of wheel'n out in the Arizona Desert. Mid 70's in the day, 50's at night. We had our friends from the board from Colorado and Texas join us for a great day Wheel'n and camping. I am sure there will be a trip report but, goodness, sometimes I wish I brought my good camera.
Anyways, day 2 Kevin, Derek and I went off to Box canyon. Derek decided to try his hand in the water hole.... FAIL!!!!
Enjoy the pics. I took them with my cell phone...
He was buried up to and past the axles.. He would have made it but the carb kinda stumbled and he lost power. Kevin pulled him out no problem.
What a great weekend. WHeeln', camping, and hangin' with friends from nearby and from far away....

That looks like a great time.
Ever go out to Crooks Baths? There is some great hiking, and wheeling opportunities out that way.

To be fair. His last attempt at unstucking himself looked like it might work, the truck started to move a little bit backward, but I told him to hold off since the pull truck was just about ready to go...

Glad everything went well. Wish I could have made it. This economy is killing me.

So looks like you all had fun on Sunday. Not easy to bury 40 inch tires in a mudhole in the dessert :)

No doubt!
I wish I had taken a picture or two of the extraction. Derek had all 4 tires turning while Kevin was pulling him around 90 degrees. Good thing Derek has big axles on that truck. My AMC 20 would have snapped like a twig.

ANd yeah, we had a lot of fun. After getting derek out we hit box canyon. Had to take the 'hard line' around a broken down truck. We decided to take a short cut on the way out that turned out to be pretty hairy. In the end we decided it probably didn't go anywhere and turned around but we are going to plan some extra time next time we head out there to check it out further back.

Keep us posted, I'd be happy to go back for another Box Canyon run.

I hear you guys talk about Box Canyon, and I think of the one north of Wickenburg. Was a very popular spot for dessert party's in High school...
