Hey all,
I have used this forum a few times and have found it very useful. I just wanted to post some pics and info of a jeep I am restoring. This is an ongoing project but I am taking my time and trying to do it right the first time. This is a 1990 GW that I bought for 405 dollars on ebay. It needed new floors and had 167,000 miles on the ticker. I an doing a complete restore, but far from stock. It spent nearly a year in the body shop(slow painter and even slower airbrusher). I have welded in new floors, took off and patched the roof rack holes, reundercoated the frame and gotten rid of all chrome. I had two strips of teak and holly airbrushed on the side as a throwback to the wood grain, but a little more modern. I am installing a 360 with a rv cam, edelbrock heads and the edelbrock proflow 2 fuel injection system. Tranny is 727 that has been built up to handle the power. As soon as it is running and tuned, it will go in for a 6 inch lift and then will tackle the interior. I will post pics as it goes. Since this is the first GW I am doing, if you have any input or comments, they would be appreciated. thanks
