More front axle questions????

can one of you guys tell me if there is some sort of seal at the ends of my axle housing? i am going to start rebuild it and I need to know if there is one on each side. Thanks!!

Rob, CR available at Schuck's, Kragen's etc, makes a spindle repair kit. I priced it today! $17.49 includes the needle bearing in the stubshaft, the inner axle seal you are referring to, a phenolic (sp?) spacer, and two rubber dust seals. These are the parts you will need.

I am not sure if you can get just the inner axle seal, but by the time you get to that part, you will probably want to change these other parts as well.

There are 2 wheel (grease) seals on the hub and axleshaft, and an oil seal in the axle tube. The diff must be torn down to replace the oil seal :mad:
