Unfortunately it is in 1/48 scale... Not 1/1... But I just got this old model kit made in Italy...:D It is in plastic, and no glue its required and has open doors and hood.
Some pics...

Does it come with a little squeeze tube of oil for under the model. :D

When I was younger I built lots of models.

X2 on the rear door.

Never saw that one before. An Italian Hatchback. The little tube of lube is QT fluid! :D

Wow! I love the lift gate. But given how much we complain about the hood latch of death imagine the complaints we'd hear about a real lift gate! We'd all be brain dead from the faulty AMC lift gate hinge! <ow>

I think each piece should come in a little wooden crate with NOS stickers all over it. Then you can bust open each piece with a tiny little claw hammer (supplied) and weld (glue) the whole thing together over a span of 6 years. :p

Thats cool! Where is the roof? does it just meet in the center of the body side panels?

I've been building models all my life and I've never seen this before - and I've looked for a long time. Revell offers a J-Truck in Honcho and off-road competition versions but I've never seen any other FSJ's offered. And for Italeri to offer it intrigues me even more.

I've a couple Honcho kits I was going to bash to make a Wagoneer but it'll be some time before I get around to it. Lost of scratchbuilding.

Good deal scoring that kit - I'm thinking it's fairly rare.

I should scratch build a little tube of lube is QT fluid, just in case...:D:D:D And also put under it some piece of cardboard, for protect the desk from leaks...:D:D:D

@Daace, my brother found it in a out of business store. Unfortunately there was only one... :( If I found someone that can help me to make a mold, I'll can make some copy, would be nice have a Woody in this scale too... :)

@Hoot, I think to building it stock, but I haven't find/decide the color yet.

@FSJ-Jackson, about the rear door, seems that has 2 windows... I'm thinking to cut it and make like should be.

@JeepJerry, the roof its attached on the body. The body is cut in half.

@Frank, you can find some Cherokees in 1/64 made by Majorette. I have found a Cherokee SJ in 1/87, but only body. And one also in kind o 1/40 scale by Tootsietoy. The Revell Honcho is nice, you can find it in 4 version. The best one are the older, because has soft rubber wheels. There are also another one company that I forgot the name that made the HonchoStep side, in 1/25 in diecast. In 1/24 I found also a Wagoneer, that its a work in progress... If not the Autoart in 1/18, but now the price are too high...
