My GW is spontaniously generating fluid

Every time I park my jeep for more then an hour or so I see a stain under it from a leak somewhere (around the rear end of the T-case). I wasn't worried about it at first, but last night I went through and checked all the fluids and did a real basic tune up (air filter, plugs, checked PCV). When I checked the T-case fluid it was perfect, right where I filled it up to last time. So I checked the Tranny fluid, again it was perfect. Oil, front diff, rear diff, brake fluid, power steering fluid, coolant was all at the same level as it always is. Is there a fluid somewhere else in the jeep that I'm missing? Could it be Gas? If it were gas why is it leaking as if it's coming from the rear of the T-case?

Very possibly could be fuel. You have return lines and the feed lines which run right abouve and around the tcase. Right on top of the tcase you should see a rubber hose connected to a metal tube....it will have a 90 degree bend on it...If memory serves me correctly that is your fuel return line...But anyway...your fuel lines run right above the tcase.

One thing about fuel vs a lubricant...gasoline smells like...gasoline! Stick your finger in it and take a whiff. If it smells like gas, I bet it is. :D
On the other hand, you can try and lite it...let me know what happens. :eek:

Thanks Michael. I'll check it out tonight and hopefully I can fix it with a new rubber hose and some clamps.

Could also be water coming from the AC condensor if you're using the AC.

Just dab your finger in it and take a whiff. Keep it clean, I mean the puddle under the car.

don't forget that one drop of oil will make a puddle the size of a 50 cent piece, it don't take much to look like a lot

Maybe it's the fountain of youth! Try and bottle that stuff, it could cure cancer!
