Never heard of the Electric... Just the air actuated Air-Locker by ARB... about $600 per diff and you can use one air pump to run both. the pump is about $250..or you can hook up on-board air alot cheaper and use that.

Heard about the electrics but dont know anything about them. Thing Tru-trac (or something like that) makes them. Seen an ad in Petersen's or OffRoad, or FourWheeler, or etc..... http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I agree there! The link is wrong, Just take out the "h". It should be www.tractech.com (http://www.tractech.com) I am looking at it now.

here's info on the ox locker: http://www.drivetraindirect.com/ox_trax.htm
i like the cable idea.
also i've spoken w/ superior axle: http://www.superioraxle.com/New%20Products.htm
about there super44 kit. it's 1.51" diameter axles (dana 60 like) for the dana 44. they are making the kit for the tj but if enough people (50 or so) w/ fjs make a request for it then they would do a production run for us. so email them if you are interested: ron@footeaxle.com

If you still need some info on these, the last issue of JP magazine has some extensive articles on a couple of types. You might want to check it out.

I have no experiance with the new electric locker, but if its based on the true trac, strength may be an issue.
As far as the 33 spline shafts for the d44, if you can get just the detroit or other diff with that spline count, any of the major axle suppliers could custom build a set of axles, with the larger spline. FWIW, most dana 60s are only 30 spline, with a few being 35spine
