I have known the front of my 79 Jeep seemed to have one front wheel closer to the fender than the other side. I finally decided to see what was up with this since I am planning on getting bigger tires and so the difference would be more obvious. I am planning on getting new body mounts & so I thought I would fix this problem at that time. First of all do the body mount bolts have a nut which has to be held when breaking them loose. I don't see any way to get to the top of the bolt (two on the front being the exception). I am hoping that upper part/nut is welded in place? I guess I will have to go ahead & put the new body mounts in (poly bushings) & leave them loose, then use two comealongs (one at each side of the wag to try to shift the body over where it should be? It is currently shifted over about 1 inch over to far at the front & about 1/2 inch in the back. I don't think it has ever been in any kind of wreck. Anyone else ever had this problem?

The nut is welded in place....years of road grime won't help here though. I'd start spraying with PB Blaster several days ahead if time...you'll have to shoot it through one of the drain holes near the mount to try and get to the nut. You're likely to break a few loose depending on the condition of your undercarraige....Good Luck!

The bolt tops inside the body are located under your carpet and mat-if you have carpet and a mat that is. There will be round metal plugs that you can pop out with a screwdriver and get to the top of the bolt. Spray this with PB blaster also several days/weeks prior to doing the deed. The worst ones are the two in the very back. These have a tendency to rust out and are held in place with a nut that is part of the body. I lucked out as mine was so rusted out that I was able to get to the capture nut with a wrench and get them out.

Sure the body is shifted? Could be loose u-bolts on the axles, a broken spring centerbolt, or a out-of-square frame from some forgotten accident
