I just spent a Happy Thanksgiving with my 82 Wagoneer. I blew a the fuze for my gauges and after replacing it my temp, oil pressure and fuel guage all read higher than they should. My temp gauge goes all the way to hot even when cold. I have searched for any loose wires but everything is intact. My Chiltons book on 4x4's suggests the "instrument voltage regulator" may be defective. Does anyone know where this may be located or what one may look like on a 1982 Wagoneer?

The CVR(Constant Voltage Regulator) is in the temp gauge. It drops the volts for the gauges down to 5V and so far as I know isn't repairable/replacable you'll need to replace the entire temp gauge as a unit.
