Do you think you will draw some westerners to ECI? I sure would like to come one year.
What I would really groove on is to get one year where Krista and I do Moab, ECI, Ouray Invasion, Full Size Enchilada and the November AZFSJC experience. That would be a full size grand slam.

Most likely the same weekend in June, Flint. More to come on that...
Yeah that would be quite the road trip! Talk about your 'ultimate adventure'!

You know, draw, attract... somethin like that. ;) I know we are welcome. :) My butt does not welcome that drive from CO to NC and back. I would much rather work up a deal with a few people and ship a truck load of FSJs to ECI, fly out, have a blast, fly back, blah, blah, blah but I am dreaming and maybe not awake yet.

KS for a weekend? It is east of here.... Don't the Somali Pirates hang out there? ;) We know y'all make the long haul to Ouray after doing the marathon run for the Charger. Maybe it was the vertigo that followed, but that trip kicked my butt. I see y'all break your stuff when you go to KS. Do I really need to have that experience? :D

That would be kewl. Beachmaster looks like a sweet rig. Who knows, maybe after the 1st of the year I'll be ready to plunge behind the wheel of a GW.
Bill and I usually take vacation time with my family in June, but with a new baby due then (no not me you wiseacres) the trip may not happen.
We'll see what shakes, but it would be darn tootin cool for us to make the ECI. Never been to the Carolina's before. Rick, anyplace we could do some shootin?:D

Janie, we shoot every ECI at the Uwharrie shooting range. Last year there was an M1 Garand being tested and I had a 1911 to share...go figure. If you show up I'll bring lots more.
'Flintlock Valley' is it's name and there is a $5 per day fee now. The range pass is for sale at the 'Outpost', the same place where one buys their trail passes.
I guess I need to find a cheap Waggy to use as a loaner.

Plenty of parking. Alot of folks tow their rigs up there. Then again, alot of us drive our rigs up too. And there is always an open seat somewhere.

Dangit Flint... now you got me thinking about heading out there with Brutus!
It says 27 hours travel time.... midway would be right about... Columbia Missouri. If only I knew someone there that I could stay with.
Doing the math.... ($3.50/gal) * (1748 miles one way * 2) / (15mpg) = $816 in gas alone... assuming we average $3.50/gal and I can get 15mpg. WOW that is a little steep.
Maybe not this year.

Fuel costs as compared to your neck of the woods would piss you off. I lived in NH for 8 years and remember the shock of gas prices in New England.
Gas is now up to $2.55 for regular and as much as 2.90 for super. Put 93 in the bike last weekend at 2.89 a gallon. We have actually had winter this year so that has to be part of higher fuel prices.
Regular was $2.20 just two weeks ago. :(
My brother made the trip from Concord, NH to my house (about the same as you to URE) in 18-20hrs?? He stopped in Baltimore and stayed with our sister to break the trip into two 8 or 9 hr days driving.

I know, right.
Bring yer shootin' irons! Range is open 365 sun-up 'till sunset. 100yd rifle and 25+yard pistol. Bring your own targets and haul your own trash.
There is now a $3 a day range pass that can be purchased at the Eldorado outpost on Hwy 109 where the trail passes are sold.
The Outpost sells most everything you'll need except auto parts. They do, however, stock emergency things like J-B weld, BARS stop-leak etc...
