Now that my Wagoneer is complete and my postal jeep project is done I turned my focus to my J20. I picked this up for free a year ago, was owned by a farmer who only used it on his land. So far I have a 4 inch lift and a 2 inch body lift to go on it and i have changed the fluids and bought some new spark plugs for it. Put new plugs in and the baby fired right up and I drove it 2 hrs home at 70 mph. Did i mention it has a 401? :). Not sure what color I will go with on this one yet but I would like to keep it 2 tone.
Not a whole lot of body work to be done on this just a bit of surface rust here and there and a dent or 2 on the hood to fix. Also the 4 wheel drive is not working so that could be a can of worms. So far i used the heat gun and took off the woodgrain yanked the carpet and yanked the seats. Also took off all trim and bumpers. Pretty much thats how she will sit till spring when i can dive in more. Will give me time to find new carpet/rear bumper and badges etc.
Now my questions how hard is it to get rid of the choke on this thing? Im sure mine needs adjusted as Jeep fires up but if i dont wait 5 min and try to put it in gear it dies on me. Also would like to get rid of choke just for convenience as my Fiancee and father will drive it most likely some and I dont feel like helping them get it started all the time. Also need to get the engine in for some tests to see how good she is all the gauges are fine but she topped out at about 75 speed wise
