View Full Version : 401 Crank in a 360 Block?

I've seen this listed somewhere else, but can't remember.

Has anybody done this? Putting a 401 crank in the 360 block? What will this give me? Is it worth the trouble? More HP?, Torque?.. How was gas milage afterwards?

What all would need to be done? Rods? Pistons?

I plan on doing a complete rebuild of a spare 360 and would like to make sure that I have a good amount of torque and drivability. This truck is mostly Highway driven, but will see some mild trails.

Thanks in advance...

Never mind Guys!

I've found all the info that I need on the websites... I have decided to just work with the stock 360 Crank and rods..

I don't want to make the engine hard to maintain afterwards, just want to have a good, solid, strong 360...

I'll just work with what I have!!

Thanks...
