Does anybody else have any pics of their very first FSJ? I was looking through some old pictures and found a couple of pics of my very first FSJ, an 89 GW with 49000 orginal miles, I got a great deal on it, unforunatley the frame was rusted out so badly I decided to part it out and use most of everything to build my current wagoneer. So heres some pics of mine.......(ill post better ones later after I find them:rolleyes: )

It's a '79 and it had around 40k miles when this picture was taken in '85 ( I think).

Do you get much reflection from the roof lights on the hood that far back. Looks good! I was thinking about finding a sun visor to keep the light off the hood but that looks pretty good the way you have it!

I was the parts manager at a Jeep / AMC dealership in 1978-79. Here are a couple of photos from a trade show we did in a Northern British Columbia town (a few hours from Alaska) in those years.

I ended up buying the Yellow Cherokee Chief in the photos and moving to NY City with it. One photo is of our "going away party" cake showing the Chief and our boat leaving the mountains headed for the Statue of Liberty - pretty creative cake icing!

Another photo shows a bunch of accessories and and parts we sold for the jeeps - Oh to only have that supply now.

Note the matching Jeep jackets all our staff wore. (Boy have I put on weight over the past 30 years! - I was that young tall good looking fella - laugh!)

I also had an old 1966 Gladiator (back in 1982) It was 2 wheel drive with a straight I-beam type front axle. Appeared to be the original carpet with no holes for transfer case shifter. I wish I had taken photos of it. I only have 27 year old memories. But I do know when I sold it the buyer was surprised it was 2WD.

Does anyone know if Jeep ever make such a beast or do you think someone must have modified it before I owned it?

My '79 Wagoneer. I still love the black with the thin woodgrain strip...you just don't see many like that. I put about 300k miles on it before it ended up going to the boneyard. Wish I had never done that but I didn't have anywhere to keep it at the time. The axles, motor and other things live on in other Jeeps that I still have though!

Got this 1983 Cherokee in 2008.. first FSJ.. before this I have had a ZJ Grand Cherokee and a Wrangler YJ.. wrangler was sold short after I got the FSJ to get..... another FSJ with 360 and two doors.. a strangely re-arranged golden eagle. '83 is 258 with some mods, i've been told it was assemble in th US, used for a couple of years in Canada, went to France, driven there for some years, went to africa, then back to France where she got 3 users before me.. now I started to restore her, for i guess she deserves it, and i have a "silent" dash.. so i need to check it first, or to wire it new.

This is the day after I towed my first (and only so far) home in June. It is a 1965 J-200 with the Tornado 230 / T-90 / Dana 20. I'm currently replacing the original engine & transmission with a 304 / T-18. No rust or broken glass, but the interior and mechanical bits need attention.

My family had an '89 Navy Blue GW from 1991-1993; first time behind the wheel I drove right over a small pine tree and everybody had a great laugh (I was 10 or 11). It was totaled by my stepfather in '93 when he hit a deer and went upside down in a ditch. I don't know if I have any pics from then.

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute with a new first FSJ pic before long though!

DeanI started shark fishing with my dad in 1960 when I was 5. The affect on shark killing that followed JAWS was a sad sight. We did it for the sport and not to kill sharks. We also released many sharks along the way. My largest release was an 8 foot tiger. They get much bigger and the affects of gravity out of the water is not kind to big sharks.

My first registered Jeep. 1981 J20 bought in 2003 from NJ. Still own it and it pretty much looks the same.
My 1st Jeep was my Dad's 1976 Honcho.Never registered in my name ,never fixed after the crash. I did however get to drive it when it was brand spanking new up till 1994 when Dad wrecked it. Pictures of that truck still elude me.

My second FSJ since I've lost all photos of the 74 N/T Cherokee.
http://www.sactownkillers.com/rvs/Blair2@Rockpile.JPG
Coming home from the hills on Easter Sunday with my girl's son, doing 55 with a NHP cop behind me when it went 'CRUNCH' and locked up all 4 tires.
After getting to the side of the road and letting the white smoke clear I saw anti freeze and oil everywhere.
The cop admitted to following too closely and even gave us a ride 15 miles to the house.
The 401 was a salvage yard pull and some dork had pulled the rod caps to check the bearings and apparently never torqued them back down properly.

Put a 304 in it to get me to Cali then I sold it rather than fight smog compliance. :(

First Jeep I had was a 1972 J-4000 with 360, T-18, Dana 20. Old farm truck that had sat for a number of years before I got it. It's still around town. Quality of the photo is bad as it's a pick of a pic.

My first FSJ is a 76 waggy that I got for $500.00. I was a member of a baby jeep club here in Az and got to talking with a fellow that said I might enjoy trails in an FSJ and hooked me up with Jaber who knew of a fellow that had my waggy for cheap and I snatched her up. I took it on it's first trail ride two weeks later and I have been hooked ever since.

That's a beautiful Willys Pickup Mathman!

Thanks! Took from 1996 to 2003 to get it to its first show - 2004 to have it 98% complete. Fortunately dad was still with us in 2003 for the first show and got to take him for a ride on his 80th birthday later that year. But he had a lot of fun at the 2003 show - here's a picture of him "at the controls" during that show:

Lots of memories in that truck. :)

Since I'm a young'in, this is my first. Purchased my Freshman year of college in 2005 and it's sat almost ever since. Still looking for a place with a garage in MD to keep it now that I'm out of NY. Still sitting at my dad's though.

Oh, and did I mention I paid $900? 34k miles. Both Jeeps in the pics are firsts, first little Jeep and first FSJ.

Mine was only a couple of years ago... Bought it out on an old farm. Had just been used for running around off-road.

And this is the one that I am getting back to strip for parts for my J-truck.
