I have a set of rear flip out windows that I would like to install in the rear of the Cherokee. My concern is that the rubber seems pretty stiff. Im concerned about how much I will be able to bend the rubber around to intsall them without breaking the rubber seal. Im sure Im not the first to tackle this and was looking for tricks of the trade from you Glazers so that I might be succsesful in the swap over. :D Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Boil the seals, it will loosen them up.

Untill they cool or do they stay looser?

I have always waited until they cool enough that you do not get burned.
Get some braided nylon cord, like the stuff used on the cheapo fish hanger rope things.
Place the cord in the groove all the way around and have both ends of the cord come out at the same spot.
Place the glass up against the seal and pull the rope. It helps to have two sets of hands, one to hold the glass in place and one to hold both ends of the rope.
Pull the rope all the way around the window and viola! It is installed:cool:

The side glass on the 2door Cherokee is probably the easiest to do, just go straight for the rope and if the rubber is real hard just add hot water.

Yeah, you have to club them first:eek:
