I started the wag today and gas begin leaking from the mechanical fuel pump. What would make this happen?

So now I think I am going to replace it with a electric fuel pump.

Any pros or cons on switching to an electric pump?

If the pump is leaking outside, it's likely leaking inside the crankcase too. You don't want to roast your bearings.

Mechanical pumps are a direct replacement, but electric will work too. smile.gif
