I have seen M715s with cj style side hood catches(clamps) on them .
I am thinking about putting them on my J-10 as my hood release is about to go south.
and I always liked that style.
which do i buy : the horizotial or vertical pair?
and more importantly how do they fit?
they both look the same to me.
Has anyone outthere done this ?

Yes, they have those.
They look cool, but the latch in my 78 Cherokee was more handy...

I'm putting them on mine for the look and a little extra security. My M715 fenders are already set up for them and all I have to do is drill 2 holes in the hood on each side. No big deal to do.

So which one is the correct pair to buy Vertical or Horizontal?
Horizontal is for the CJ right?
so I want the vertical?
not really sure.

The ones you want have a 90 degree bend in the shaft just above the bottom mount (M715). The ones on my CJ have a straight shaft to the bottom mount.

Or the best guy in the world to deal with AB linn at 704-637-9076 located in NC. He may have em. If not maybe they can make a suggestion. Or you could post over at the zone. M715zone.com I bet somebody has a parts truck with some on. Good luck and I hope it helps...Al...
