Theres a guy looking to get rid of his 34x10.50-15 TSL swampers. Would i be able to run these on 10" wide rims? Ive seen 31x10.50s on 10" wides before but dont know that it was a good thing. When i air down i could possibly lose a bead easier than on 8" wides. Has anyone done this?

Thats pretty wide for that narrow a tire. i ahve them on an 8" wide rim and they are still really narrow.

Yeah i think ive seen 10.5 swampers before and they looked narrow. It would be near impossible to bead them up on the rim.

i would not go with that wide of a wheel for a 10.50 tire. i would find a 7 or 8" rim.

if you have 10" wide rims, you could see if anyone locally to you would be willing to trade with a set of 8" wide. I would think that 10" is too wide thought for those tires.

Interco recommends an 8.5" rim for that tire. I assume you meant LTBs since they do not make a TSL in 34x10.50x15

LTBs are a great tire, just find a smaller rim ;)

A 7" rim is ideal for a 10.5 tire.

you'll beat the heck out of the beads on a 10" one if you ever wheel the rocks.

Ahhh, im just gonna keep looking. I want to keep running 10" wides and really want 35x12.50-15"s. I just found a possible good deal on thes 34"s and wanted to find out before i pursued them. I was thinking it wouldnt work out...lol.

Thanks guys....

I would not even try to mount those tires on a 10" wide rim, that is way to wide. I consider 10" wide rims to be too wide for 12.50's most of the time.

mounting my 12.50 wide TSL's on a 8" wide rim was not easy. They had to blast the tire with air to get it to seat (similar to shooting starter fluid and then lighting it to have the mini-explosion push the tire beads out).

Yeah, when i worked at a tire shop, a guy brought in some 36x12.5-15 swampers and put them on 10" wides and it was a pita to get them to bead up. They were brand new though so they were skinny from sitting on the shelf.....used tires are easier to bead up.

been there, done that. worked at a tire shop and hated those wide rims. it usually took 2 people holding the tire just right and as much air as you could blast into it.... sometimes it took a few tries.

I have had a set of 34x10.5 LTBs on stock Toyota wheels (1986 vintage - 15x6" I think) and also on a set of 15x8". Both worked fine, but 10" sounds too wide.

Hell I run the 33X13.5 LTB on a 10" wide and will never make that mistake again. Always getting mud and crap in the bead and that's only airing down to 15 PSI. Next tim around super skinny rims are they way for the trail. With beadlocks of course.
