I'M SWITCHING OVER TO AN AFTERMARKET AIR CLEANER. DID YOU GO WITH THE 10 OR 14 INCH OR DOES IT MATTER??

THANKS

Larger elements will give less restriction to airflow. 10" is a little small for a 360.

I run a 14" Edelbrock Pro-Flow with a 3" tall filter. Was a big improvement over stock. As I ran the stock air cleaner for about 4 months after putting on the edelbrock crab and intake.

Make sure you retune your carb after switching, or it will run lean.

neither. i went with a k&n 9" cone filter in a home-made shroud, with a home-made adapter on top of the throttle body.

Thanx smile.gif

Well the only hoses that hook up are 1-2 vacuum lines for the snorkel that open and close a door to act as a second choke. The other goes from oil filler tube to the side of the factory one. I put a filter on the tip of that hose and it sits on the intake for now.

stuka: i dont remember the brand that i got. its actually not chromed, just shiny steel. i plan to paint it yellow, like the old cap and the dipstick. i think Mr. Gasket has one that will work. it should have 2 metal "ears" that slide down into the oil fill tube.

JD: i scrapped all the non-essencial vacuum hoses ;)

I PICKED UP THE CHROME OIL CAP BREATHER FROM PEPBOYS, I ALSO SAW THE SAME THING AT AUTOZONE. MADE BY SPECTRE I BELIEVE. THERE ARE TWO TYPES MADE, ONE FOR SCREW ON AND ON FOR PUSH ON CAPS. IT WAS ONLY 6.00.

MINE OIL CAP IS CHROME AND IT'S MORE ROUNDED THAN FLAT LIKE SPRUCEMOOSE'S. IF YOU CAN'T FIND THEM, LET ME KNOW AND I'LL PICK ONE UP FOR YOU STUKA.

If you could get me a part number I could probably find one. Summit has a lot of them, but they dont show the mounting surface ever.
