Got a 76 cherokee gauge cluster I'm trying to unload, anyone know up to what year this will fit? It looks identical to my 78's but will it work on, say, an 83?

It should...the gauge cluster was changed in 1987, iirc

Actually it was changed in 1986. My 86 Grand Wagoneer has the later style dash, 1985 was the last year for the cluster with the 3 round guages and heat controls on the left side of the guages.

I actually prefer the older style dash. To me, the gauges are more legible. Also I like being able to run defrost and a/c at the same time on those muggy summer rainy days smile.gif

ditto. i much prefered my 84 to my present 88.for many more reasons besides the dash.

I agree, I wish I had the time so I could swap the whole interior from my 83 including the dash into my 86. I think I am going to miss the dash most on the 83 when I start driving the 86 around. I think the older style looks a lot classier than the 86-91 style.
