Ok... Finally got time to tackle the rear brake lines, wheel cylinders, etc. When I went to undo the rubber line from the hard line that goes to the comb. valve, I either stripped the rubber side nut thingy (On the bottom side of the crossmember. The hard line bolts in thru the top side of the cross member.) or its supposed to be like it is. Kinda looks like this: (I). It has 2 rounded sides and 2 flat sides, like a tire thats been flat spotted in exactly opposite sides. Is it supposed to be like that, or should I go on and do *ALL* the lines? BTW I did strip the heck out of the hard line. I was going to cut off the line, and take it off with a 6 pt socket, but it started raining on my parade.

Sorry for one of the longest paragraphs ever.

the fitting on the rubber line should have a groove in the flat sides for a u-clip that holds it in position. closer to the rubber there should be a hex. the hex is tight to the underside of the hole and the u-clip is topside. all brake hoses use a set up like this.

Yeah it looked as if there was a clip of some sort, but it was dark out, and I had limited light. But it looked as if it was on the bottom. Thanks for the info.
