Question for BChesley

How does your GW perform with 4.09 gears and 33" tires? What kind of RPM's are you turning etc? I am thinking of the same setup for my 88GW. Since you have the same setup, would appreciate any and all info. Thanks

I love it! I went from 235's and 2.72 gears so I had a significant increase in power. I was turning 2500 rpm in the stock configuration but I now turn 2900 at 70mph. I have a lot more usable torque and power. I pull a 3000lb boat with ease. I have not noticed any adverse affects from turning the high rpms down the highway either. I drive a 9 mile trip at 70 every day. If I had it to do all over again I would do it exactly the same.

I ordered my gears from drivetrain warehouse for 399 with new carriers. It was 425 to get them installed. I wish I had the money at the time to add a locker but I am probably going to add a mini spool in the rear and a track lock in the front.
