I am thinking about the High-Tec retreads http://www.high-tec-retreading.com/sizes.html for my wag. Like my sig says, I currently have 32x11.5 Pirelli Scorpion AT on it. I got them from Sears when they stocked them ($80.00 each). Now that they don't, the price is about $140 per tire, I'm too cheap for that right now. Since High-Tec doesn't have 32x11.5, should I go with 31x10.5 and not have to cut wheel wells, or cut the truck to put on 33x12.5? I have 3.31 gears and I'm not going to change that. This GW mostly stays on the road, and I pull a small boat occasionally. If I go to 31x10.5, should I get the OTR Mud or AT style?
Thanks for your opinions.

31's...dont cut
33's ...cut....
do YOU want to cut? choice is yours.....
if you tow 'occasionally' and you motor is strong.... 33's will be ok... but you will feel it...
if the body is solid.... go 31's

With 3.31's I say stay with 31's. 33's will definately be lacking on the power side.

I'm running 32 x 11.50 MTs on factory 7" wheels with BJ's Offroad 4" system. At full flex the rear tires just barely rub the back side of the fender - nothing a little trimming or "tapping" wouldn't fix.
I've got a stock motor, stock tranny and 3.73 gears. I think Bushwood is plenty fast with the tire/gear combo. I actually like the effect of the 32s on the highway! Keeps the RPM in a sane range - compared to the 28s or whatever these things came with.

Manhattan, do you have photos of that setup yet. I'm getting ready to get my lift soon but I keep thinking of different setups and haven't decided yet. I'd like to see the 4" lift and 32's.

I do. They're high resolution - are you on a fast-pipe? I'll email a couple.

as stated in other posts, retreads DO come apart occasionly, wouldn't put a retread on steering, unless it is for local driving not at highway speeds, have seem them come apart after a FEW miles. We run them on our 48' trailers and unfortunatly on the drivers on the tractors, they make a mess when they blow, tears up mud flaps, the big bar you see hanging down at rear of trailer, etc.
have seen what they do to pickup, etc, when they go tears up everything they touch.
not trying to dissuade you from buying them, just a word of caution.
