I am looking to buy an 83 grand wagoneer for a diesel project, with the 360 auto and quadra trac, I think. 120,000mi what is it worth? I'm thinking 250-300 is fair

What do you mean? To resell the drivetrain, or 250-300 for the whole wag?

it'd be a 360/727/Np229 or some transfercase like that, not a BW Quadratrack. Those phased out in 79.

yeah 200-300 for a drivetrain as core parts is ok to ask if reselling. Not any more if they're good unless recently (very) rebuilt or have hop up parts in them.

Take this for what it's worth, your results may vary.

I pulled the 360 from my cherokee when I first got it. Had a brand new holley 2 barrel on it. I think I got to $150 for just the motor and no one would buy it. Sold the carb for $75 and the motor went back on the market for $50. No takers. Scrapper gave me $15.

Just bought a good running 360 with 100K with my friend for his CJ. We paid $100 I think

Trans and tranfers cases...not sure on. I would guess not much either.

I think overall your drivetrain is worth $250. However, getting any cheap Jeep guy to buy it may be a different story.

what he said. If someone needs it close by, you may get a sale. otherwise..plan on tripping over the crap for a while. Depends on location and fellow FSJers close by.

For a stranger, maybe $250 dollars.
Among friends and forums members that you really know...then the prices drop to often times free.
