Steering column swap???

Will an 88 XJ's tilt steering column fit in an 89 Grand Wagoneer with out modifications.

I don't think so. I pulled and replaced the column on my '84 XJ Cherokee, and as I remember it was a LOT different from the columns I've pulled from Wagoneers, in length, firewall mounting, under-dash mounting, etc.
