Ive been told left and right by teachers that wikipedia is a bad source of info, either way ill still use it for resource. Reading about wagoneers on there it says that there are 4 1992 Grand Wagoneers on record, can anybody verify this? If so any pics or knowledge of where theyre at?

The final 1,560 SJ Grand Wagoneers were produced in the 1991 model year. Each had a "Final Edition" badge on the dashboard. There have been (4) documented 1992 Grand Wagoneers, making these the most rare.

I don't personally know this, but I wouldn't be surprised. The general rumors are that they didn't get all the vehicles documented as 91 models, and that the last ones were sold as 92's.

Same rumors go for the J-trucks. There were supposedly a few that were sold as 88 models.

Yeah there was a guy on here a few years back that won an EFI 401 powered 1992 GW with air bags in Vegas:rolleyes:

The hunter green GW that was in the Harrah's museum was supposedly the last one off of the line and it was titled and VIN'd as a 1991. The current owner last time I checked was www.grandwagoneer.com (http://www.grandwagoneer.com) and underwent a frame off restoration with 8K original miles on the clock. The Jeep was listed for sale at almost $100K.

When the "Final" GW was sold by Harrah's a few years ago, there was documentation from Chrysler stating it was the last one built and that it was built June 21, 1991 - which was during the 1991 model year.

I've heard the rumors about 1992 GW's, but I've never seen or heard of any actual documentation.

Kind of what we go through with Scramblers. There are reportedly a few '86 models out there. They rarely show up...when they do, they actually end up being a different model year...

There's an AMC vendor in western Ohio that has an '88 J truck. I saw it in person. I was there picking up some Javelin parts this past spring.

We have a lot of customers with 1988 J-trucks so they do exist...

Never seen or heard of a 1992 GW though...

Back in 88 I wanted a new Jeep CJ. I found an 86 Scrambler that was tied up in divorce court. Brand new, tittled but never drove.

I bought a Suzuki Samurai. Darn awsom little 4x4. I still have it.
