to independant rockers.
will i see a gain from this conversion?
cost effective?
do i have to change heads?
it still looks like 3k$ to do a complete rebuild of my 75s 360 :(

Say kenall, did you ever look into Performance Automotive Warehouse, (AKA PAW), www.pawengineparts.com (http://www.pawengineparts.com) ? They have lots of different engine rebuild kits for cheap. Another one is Kanter Automotive. www.kanter.com (http://www.kanter.com) .

I don't know what kind of performance gain you'll get, but the guy at the machine shop who did my block and head work said that the high HP AMC guys look for the non-bridged rockers. My 73 heads are non-bridged. Cool.

To the point, is it cost effective ?
Well sure as heck not on a stock or mild
performance motor !
If either the heads or block get decked very much
it will make setting the valves possable, if you
are after every litte bit of performance it will help reduce friction with roller rockers.
But for a normal driver, that you want to drive
and work well there are better places to put your
money.
