Exchange T400 for 4 speed

Has anyone done an exchange to a 4 speed? My auto is about to go and I always wanted a stick in this Jeep.
Seems like it could be straight forward if the right donor J2000 or other was found. Thanks

While I am unsure what you plan on swaping the stick into, it is not quite as easy as it may seem. You will need driveshafts, trans/T-case and clutch pedals and linkage, Flywheel, clutch pressure plate. Depending on what year and model you have will determine how easy the parts will be to locate. Complete donor rig most likely the way to go on this anyhow.

Doing that swap right now, replacing a TH400/QT with a T18/Dana 20. :D Be sure you get EVERYTHING that is needed from the donor vehicle. If not, you will be looking for parts into the next century. :rolleyes: As far as the mechanics of it, you are correct. Pretty straight forward. smile.gif
