Were fog lights offered with the Rhino grill when it came out or were those "extra" holes in the middle for factory aux lights? I've only ever seen custom lights installed in that location.

Someone more knowledgable that I will jump in but I've never seen one with OE aux lights...you sure would assume there'd be at least one configuration with them though wouldn't you? What the devil would Kaiser/etc have put the holes there in the first place for?
Dennis, jump in...

I heard that they origionally designed for quad headlights.
But the mold was never changed.
M715 later used space for blackouts.

I was thinking the same thing.

Ive seen round signal stat orange turn signals installed there either by the dealer or Meyers when the snow plow package was ordered. They just cut out the center and installed the lights using the rest of the trim plate.
But no FSJ ever left the factory with any light there.

Kaiserman correct, lights even pictured in the snow plow ads.
Also the firetrucks had Red lights there. :)
I don't like anything fake, (well except well done plastic surgery) :p even if correct, so ditching the pie plates....
Old timer gave me hint of which 5" headlight, bucket and trim ring fit the hole and rasied part of valence ....I found set, now I forgot and lost notes on which car they came off.

What user was it that had the red fsj (Cherokee I think) with the custom fog lights in these spots? I remember drooling over them.

the vendor list has a ring kit that accepts all aftermarket 5.5 inch offroads etc. I am looking for a set of fogs to go in the pie plate location. I can't remember the vendor name but it is pretty obvious if you look...

Bryan's first picture is AWOL, but of all the installs I liked Carlos' from Argentina the best. Looks OEM. They all look better than the plates, and function always beats fakery.

I was just thinking about doing that today. Since the Jeep will be white I would go with clear LED ones that light up amber, then weld some patches where the factory signals go, maybe add small marker lights on the corners.
Same signals I used on the CJ:

That CJ would be perfect if Daisey Duke was standing next to it!

The nice conversion, was done on a medium blue Cherokee, he filled in the factory turn signals on the valance. It looked nice.
