So 7 years after my '86 GW was parked (still at my Dad's house) after leaving UF (Go Gators!) I finally took delivery of my second FSJ; this time an '80 Cherokee Golden Eagle. The 360's got an Edelbrock intake and 4bbl carb, and shes been regeared to 4.10's. No doubt, shes a monster, and I found out today that the NYC pansy pedestrians are TERRIFIED of her. Zero yellow-cab cuttoffs yet too. This pics not what I hoped itd be, but off in the distance is the Statue of Liberty... Feels real good to be back behind the wheel of one of these rigs!

Cabbie's bumpers are made of plastic, now. They see a real metal bumper and stay the $%@ away from it!

looking really good there! I do like white on these rigs! After seeing yours, I'm thinking more and more of repainting mine that color when I get the chance!

I've always liked the Golsen Eagle paint scheme. I lived in NYC in 82 and a buddy had a CJ in the golden eagle trim but it was all gold/brown - I really like the white on the FSJ.

Im digging the white too; Its been a while since Ive had any vehicle this color, now Im wondering why Ive been skipping it.
I was thinking of covering the rockers and flares with some kind of black bedliner-type stuff to ward off potential rust, but Im pretty sure there are some that come in colors. Staying all-white might be the way to go...

Oh, and I cant take any credit at all for the way this truck is set up; I picked it up off "gottwins?" a few weeks ago through the classifieds here, and had it shipped it up from Florida-ironically, where I used to live. Anyway, even though we never actually met up in person, the guy was/is a class act and a pleasure to deal with.
