AAL Question

Has anyone tried to make their own add a leaf kit?
I'm only lookin for about a 2" lift and I figured I could get some heavier springs out of something like a 1 ton truck and just Re-Arch the second leaf and then replace my second leaf with the heavier one.....

any comments, questions, or am I retarted? :D

JeepBob added leafs from another spring pack to his rear springs. It does work, just make sure the springs are in good shape.

I did useing rear springs from a half ton suburban. In the front I added the the longest leaf from the sub. and swaped a leaf from the middle of the sub. pack with one from my Jeep pack. I gained 1.5 in. In the rear I added the longest sping left in the sub. pack and swaped the sortest 2 from the sub pack with the shortest 2 in the Jeep pack I also added an overload spring from the sub. I gained 4 in. in the rear (it was saged bad). The ride is just a little firmer than before but not as bad as most AAls and it souldnt sag because the springs were already broaken in.
