I dislike getting screwed when getting things from others and just wanted you to find out if that was what you really needed and it would work for you. I 'generally' expect the same from others but when dealing with used parts, you get what you pay for. A free part is a free part, it may work, it may not.
After all, it probably was the original shaft from my QT and what wear it did have from the years of abuse, it may have not worked for you.
