Very nice but $100K for something with a d44 front?!

As if...

For $100K it better have rockwells... And it better have cro-moly shaft IN the rockwells, and air lockers and 4 linked... And it still better looks just as nice as that one does. I have to say they DID get the rest of the drivetrain right: 402/th400/np205... 600HP. I owuld perfer a Ford engine but its still really nice.

Oh yeah: Less chrome please...

purdy Willys truck

but it has painted stock drum brakes:rolleyes:

All that $ invested and it doesn't even have rear discs. Probably wouldn't sell for $50k

i'd rather buy 100 crapped out cherokees and waggies. that chrome makes me wanna puke. they should have stopped around $3500, and it would have been nice, but still usable without refinancing you house.
FAIL.

Dan, I could only imagine how one would look if you built it.
After seeing the rigs that Dan has already built...I can not image how awesome a Willy would be after Dan was finished.

I feel that even Chip Foose would stop and go, "WOW, look at that!"

So Dan, are you going to use the gray Willys you already have as a starting point? Red of course!

He doesnt even have the right guage cluster in it... For that kind of money, EVERYTHING better be "perfectly original" and the correct year as well.

Dan, I cant wait to see that build thread...

That's a realllllllll,,,, trophy truck! :p Buy it, park it in the geeeerage and enjoy your TROPHY! A Pavement Pounding Fluff-A-Nuttin IMO. What will happen the first time you hit the trails w/ that air intake? How about a nice fat bumble bee or three? Did I mention rain??? Now remember, if that truck is wheeling w/ me you can run lead, sure, BUT NOT ALL DAY :D A lil sand never hurt a carb OR CYLINDER WALLS ehh?

It looks nice....

lol 100k dang they are really proud of that thing.

Its nice but not worth the cost of a full hydrolift, plazma cutter, 3 welders all the griders, saws air compressors and tube benders you need, a mac box and have $ left over to build fsj's

I try to think of what else i could buy when looking at price tags.

Please don't build it like that overpriced trailer queen. I thought the "all show and no go" concept went out in the '90's. :( I'm sadly mistaken. That's the result when streetrod shops try to build an off-road vehicle.

Now, if that thing was a 2wd streetrod with the same blown drivetrain, it would make more sense. Shame a prefectly good Willys had to end up like this.

If you want one, a guy here in Kersey Pa, has one, its all done and painted too, purple, flat head 4 cyl, everything is rebuilt. just needs put together, he wants $8000. he has that into it.
