does anyone know where I can get sunroof seals for my 86 wag.I want to take the whole cassette out and replace all of the seals but cant seem to locate them anywhere.

86,are the seals torn or just leaking?If the're leaking get out the Vasoline[everybodys got a jar of that,right?]and rub it into the seals.If you do this on a regular basis it will keep the rubber soft and, if it leaks real bad just pile it on and then close the glass. Marc :cool:

I have found that the major cause of leaks on the sun roof are from dirt and trash. What happens is when you close the doors with the windows rolled up the pressure increase causes the sun roof to pop up just enough so that dirt can work its way between the seal and the glass. Banks has a solution that is workable mineral oil will also work to keep the seal supple. You can also use WD40 to clean the seal or soap and water. I find that you have to clean and treat the seal two or three times a year, or you get rained on. ;)
