Micro Computer Unit On 87 GW

What do I need to know about the micro computer unit on my 87 GW? I'm trying to simplify things by taking off as much emmisions junk as I can. I've been on the web the last couple of months looking at this great tech. forum and I have not seen anything on the M C U. I want as much of the emmisions off as I can without hurting performance/mpg. The air pump is gone,the cat. is going and I need help with vacuum lines, etc.
I'm new to the IFSJ site, and I think its great. I'm mechanically declined so I'm learning alot!

Well, if it's a V-8, then you don't have to worry about an MCU because it never had one. Do a search on vacuum lines; there have been a bunch of posts about that over the past few weeks, with explicit instructions and diagrams, to help you out.
