Hello, can someone please tell me where I can look to find the fuse for the gages. They are all out except for the seed and the battery. I think the battery works on a different circuit. So I am hoping it is a fuse. I have looked in the fuse box under the drivers side for days and there is no fuse in there that makes me think it goes to the gages. I was looking in the Haynes manual and it said check the fuses, but did ont tell me where. I know this is an easy question for you more experienced guys. I appricate the help. Thanks.

Some electrical info I got from the library on my rig says that the 15 amp fuse at the lower right hand corner of the fuse box labeled "IGN LPS" covers the following items: 4WD light, cluster, keyless entry, and compass. Hope this helps.

well I checked it and the fuse was good. Is there any inline fuse or something behing the gages that would make a difference.

Well, on page 12-7 of the Haynes manual it tells how to check the sending units for the fuel, oil and temp gauges. But, because they're located in different areas it would be hard to believe they all went bad at the same time. So I would imagine you have to trace the wires from a point where they come together (at the firewall?) then up to each gauge to look for a break or short. But I only know what I read, very little experience. Good luck!
Actually, assuming that fuse is the correct one, then the problem must be between the fuse and gauges, no?

Shadow, it sounds like the CVR, constant voltage regulator, crapped out. The only way to replace it, is to get a new temp gauge, the CVR is built into it.
Are you in Auburn Ga?

I am in Auburn, AL. It is about 20 minutes from the Georgia line. Thanks for your advice. I will look at changing that next.

Is the CVR in the Guage or in the sending unit? Thanks

If the CVR is in the gage would I have to replabce the whole cluster since it is one big circuit board?

The CVR is in the Temp gauge. To remove the temp gauge, you have to remove the PC board off of the back of the cluster.
