Hello everyone, I have a question about the angle of my driveline and pinion angle of the differential.
Man I got all kinds of problems :( .

First off, I tore into the front but soon realized that the direction of the front shackle bolt. It is in a direction where I cannot pull the bolt out because of the brushguard mounts being welded to the frame. O.K. so I'll wait to change the front shackle bushings.

The main problem I'm having is that the direction of my pinion in relation to the spring center pins.
You see, the entire vehicle is in the air and everything is relaxed. The front pinion is angled up. The spring center pins seem to be on the upward slope, to the front of the spring. I know my desription is somewhat vague. In essense, I need one heck of a shim.
I wish I could take a picture to show all of you guys. Would anyone know of a recent write up to help me out or could explain to me what I'm doing wrong. I went to work on it alittle late today and ran out of daylight.
I'm thinking of removing the frame/diff. bumpstop and using a jack on the end of it and the diff to "help" to push it down. Earlier, I was using a bottle jack to try to compress the spring upward to the axle mount...unfortunately I ran out of length.
Sorry to be so long winded.
I seem to think of myself as very knowledgable and mechanically inclined but this has got me stumped.
Thanks for the help and reassurance.

Oh yeah ZZ-2000, in Dec., posted that he had to grind the spring pins into the shape of a bullet. Can anyone verify to doing this?

Again Thanks.
