The July issue of Custom Classic Trucks (not Classic Trucks they are put out by the same outfit but they are not the same) has a nice article on hydroboost setups and a company that sells the kits for conversion.

HB conversions are a good upgrade.... I did mine using a 76 Eldorado setup....

I used the booster and MC from a CUCV. Great brakes! And if I go rear disc, I just have to swap over to a HMMWV master cylinder and I am all set.

Hmm, in the bedroom huh?

One great thing about these is you can also flip the booster if need be to gain even more clearance.
I did this to clean the big valve covers I had on my stroker motor. It was still a tight fit!

I have a hyro boost unit from a 78 Linclon Mark5 on my 76 Cherokee with rear disks and I must have done something wrong. It stops but not the same as the Linclon did with the same system......and the Linclon was heavier. Whats up with this HMMWV master cylinder.........is that maybe the problem..........I was thinking that the master cylinder wasn't matched with the calipers. The pedal feels harder and not as sensitive as the Lincoln.
