View Full Version : Quality Off road lights??
OK, I'm fabbing up a roof rack in the next couple of weeks and wanted to get some info on which lights to put up there. I'm gonna want 2 fwd and one in the back. Who makes quality lights?? How much do they go for? Where can I get them the cheapest?? Thanks much. Pic's of the rack as soon as it's done.

I for one usually talk to folks with lights already and then 'see' the difference for myself.
A friend of mine got a set of Eagle Eyes ffrom JC WHIPME... not they are not name brand.... but are NOT sealed beam either ( you can change the bulbs) 150,000 (I think) candle power on H3 bulbs. GREAT for night runs in the desert. These are like $24.99 each from the catalog, but don't show the name Eagle Eye. there are 3 wattages to choose from... he had the higheset ones.
UPDGRADE: He added the 'ice blue' H3 bulbs for around $20 and WOW what a differnce!!!
If you add 3 lights ( I am) buy there realy for $7.
I can get the exact part number if you want...
River,
So, am I to assume that sealed beam is not the way to go? Shoot me the p/n's when you get a chance, no rush. How do the housings look? You think they'll rust in a year?? Thanks

I am using the same lights that Riverbeast recomended. The 130w comes in stainless. That's what I used.
For back-up lights I used the rubber housed plain 12v 55w. More than enough light for both.
Cool, thanks much for the info.
