I think I'm using '78 Ford issue. Same year as my 205. I just had to add a 1 inch spacer to keep things level.

1980 Chevy K30. It was the donor for all of it :) . The frame brackets I made to fit in the stock x member holes on the frame.

Don't knock me too hard...

I am running the AMC 360/TH350/Ford 205 set-up and I used a CJ-7 tranny mount and a piece of 2"x3" to get it where I wanted it... It's kinda ghetto but, it was a temporary fix which might end up being a permanent fix... :p With the way it is now, the engine sits back roughly 6 degrees... I wanted 4 to 5 degrees but I can live with 6...
I had to notch the cross member a little because there's a raised area on the 205. These pics aren't the best but here they are...

Before I unscrewed every last nut and bolt on my truck I pulled the Quadtrac TC and fit in an NP205. This way I was assured proper fit and indeed when I stuffed it all together yesterday it fit perfectly. The Crossmeber was miticulously cut and welded piece by piece as was the ever so important Torque Arm Bracket I fabbed up. These fab jobs are the very first real items I have ever fabbed so we will find out in a year or so how I did, but, it looks good, if you ask me and yea, I'm partial! :p
When I was doing this I had considered the OEM Torque arm bracket that K5 Blazers use and I actually bought one and stuffed it w/ new rubbers and started to fab stuff up, then I WOKE UP and decided on what you will see in my build up thread. I think I used 14 :D of the rubber bushings you see but IMO all are needed to keep it clean and flexible, but SOLID. There are 2 rubbers UNDER the crossmember too! This puppy is sweet, my clearance under the truck is THE FRAME, nothing but drive shafts hang down... :drivin: I might even ditch the Caddy Calipers and go w/ a TC mounted E-Brake as well, it is all about mney ya know? and my lack of it!

My 205 has the holes tapped for the torque mount to the frame but the truck I got it from did not have the mount in it. I have been trying to figure out if I should fab one up but keep getting mixed opinions.

Some say it is a must and some say it could lead to other problems.

Seems GM configured it a few different ways.

Ahhh HA! Now I get it???

You have a DIVORCED TC! The NP205 came divorced from many a tranny. There would be a jack shft if you will between the tranny and the TC! It was still strapped down I am sure...CLICK HERE (http://www.high-impact.net/transmission_and_gear/Tcase_NP205.htm)and look for "Divorced"
