I bit the bullet and bought well nuts for my roof rack from the dealer. I didn't really want to spend weeks searching or have to grind down wrong size nuts, etc. Don't ask me what they charged for them.
Now that I have the well nuts, I find that I am missing several of the screws that go into them. The dealer says they are discontinued and unavailable. Has anyone had any luck finding suitable replacements from a hardware store? Anybody have a half-dozen or so just laying around?

i have found some but they did rust :( if you would like i can try to pick some up... they thread into it perfectly but the top is longer and do stick out alittle on some of the hole locations...

Check a marina or boat supply place, they usually have a good selection of stainless hardware. Mabye you can find a suitable replacement.

Not sure what you paid at the dealer for wellnuts but my local hardware store had them for just over a buck a piece. The thread is 1/4-20 so you should be able to find a lot of stuff that would fit. If not, give me a call and I'll give you the one from my rack and charge you what the dealer would have! :D

Ummmm
I'm hoping my roof rack blows off.
I allready have no head liner in the front.
Just give me a reason to get a Confur or the like rack. Then I will nut them down with anything. :D

I got all of the hardware for the roof rack at ACE. They had the well nuts, stainless screws, etc., the whole shi-bang for less than 10 bucks or so. If you can't find them locally, let me know and I can ship you a set. The shipping will probably cost more than the hardware...

Don't say that, mine did. Cost my insurance 3,550. I want to replace it with a basket rack but can't find one. Good Luck
