Last night I pulled into the driveway, turned off the BEast and went inside. Came back out about 15 min later and she sounded like she was lugging out badly. Ammeter was pegged all the way to the left. tried about 2 hours later and she started right up. I do have some flickering of the ammeter needle at idle, but it clears up and is rock solid at throttle. Help!!

Could these be symptoms of your alternator going bad or the voltage regulator?

Mine just did that and it burnt up my whole wiring harness. If it is doing that after turning it off then your starter relay is bad. Don't let it do what mine did that was a pain the behind.

Starter Solenoid on the right fender positive batery cable goes to it. Better change it quick. Or bad things could happen. :(

We have an answer!! It was the alternator!! Went out on me in the Wal-Mart parking lot, limped it as close to AutoZoned as possible and pulled it! Yes, wife was in the car, happened at 7:00 pm, crappy flashlight, but the Zone replaced it, Lifetime Warranty comes through! I hate my Beast today!!!

Check the wiring going to the ampmeter. You may have lost the alt due to bad wiring.
I've been there. It happened the night before the last trail ride I took it to. Same symptoms.
