Hello folks. I finally bought a Grand Wagoneer after years of pining. It is an '88 model I found on Craigslist for $800. It runs, but the vacuum system is jerry rigged just well enough to keep it going. I've tracked down vacuum routing diagrams for my truck, but they really serve only as a reference. NONE of the original vacuum system is still there and I really need a visual point of reference to know how things are hooked up and what all is missing.
Would someone with an '87-'91 Grand Wagoneer mind sharing some High Resolution underhood photos, focusing mainly on the vacuum system on each fender, the firewall, and around the Carburetor? I would greatly appreciate it.
Sure, I've got a '91. I'll post some pictures when I get home.
Something to keep an eye out for would be a Techncal Service Manual for the 88 model year. They have vacuum diagrams in there as well as electrical schematics. Not to mention just about everything you will ever want to know about your waggy. You can find them on Evilbay and I think BJ'sOffroad has them now, new reprints with better paper quality.
I replaced all my llines on my 81 and it made a huge difference with just new rubber lines installed. I later on switched to a TFI set up and ripped everything out except the necessary lines and never looked back.

I went to www.grandwagoneer.com (http://www.grandwagoneer.com) and looked at the rigs there. Tons and tons of photos that actually helped a million. Check it out, but be aware those rigs are addicting to look at...
Here. Try these. If you need any more or some of a particular area, let me know. I have to take the air cleaner off in a bit so I'll try to get some more pics of underneath it. Keep in mind my TAC is temporarily disconnected until I have the time to test the temp sensor and replace the vacuum lines.

AFIK all 88-up has the same system as the HDC setup on the 87.
