I was just wondering if anyone had ever made these? I have the original ones.. so I was thinking of doing some cutting and buying some tube and doing some drilling.. I was just wondering if anyone had done this.. I really don't have the money to go out and buy some... So i guess I am just getting crafty..

I did them on an XJ once, quite easy to do and I usually just leave them disconnected. Matter of fact I ended up tossing the rear bar as it was a pain to disconnect and just use the front one now.

I made some, but I am not real happy with the results. Maybe it's me, but they are too hard to reconnect the way that I made them. I wasn't thinking clearly before Xmas, otherwise I would have asked for a set from Santa!!

Well how exactly did you guys do it? I was thinking of welding some tube on the halves of the chopped up old ones then getting some larger tube to connect the tube and use those ones to drill throught and use the pin like connector..

might look at http://www.muddyjeep.com/home.htm Go to the TK-Sliders link. Btw - he also has a very nice chero with several pics. May give you an idea on how to put some together -- or buy his.

Timothy (MuddyJeep) will custom make some, if necessary, the guy is great to work with. He's also a member of the 1FSJ mailing list, and I think the FSJ-list, as well.

here is a write up on how a friend of mine did them on his XJ.

With a little modification it wouldn't be too hard to do this on an FSJ.

That one bar that goes from the top of differential to a cross member, Im assuming, is the rear swaybar?
Ive already removed my front swaybar...do I need the rear one?

No! The rear bar is the track bar - keeps the axle from going sideways and helps with axle wrap as I understand. I think you get pretty good articulation with it connected anyway, since it's only connected at 1 point. It acts as a pivot.

i think i am going to go with the first links design.. the second one might work if I had long enough "connecting rods" (i am not really sure what they are called) but after my lift I don't think it will work.. I drive mine on the street enough to want to have the front one..
