Looking for some information

Alright people, I have a couple questions (with pics) :thumbsup:.... I'm almost done swapping out the engine/tranny/t-case etc... and I am wanting to run only the bare essentials under the hood (wires)... I don't have a manual (Haynes/Chilton etc)... And I have checked the local stores for a book but I haven't found anything... The Waggy is an 82 Limited (Originally came with a 258)...
I definitely want to keep the heater, wipers, etc etc... This might be a long on going post as I am sure I'll have more questions soon to come... So please bare with me.
Now, to the nitty gritty... What are these? I know the one on the left is the ignition module but all of the ones I ahve seen only have two sets of wires... what is the third set of wires (On the right) used for... The wires are yellow and black..

These are, right to left, ignition module, diagnostic ports, "computer" for the stepper motor on the "electronic" Carter BBD carburetor (pretty sure).
