Roof rack well nuts at Lowes ?

Did I read somewhere on here a few weeks ago that you can buy the well nuts for the roof rack at Lowes ? If so, they have got to be a lot less than what's available from a dealer... What size are they and are they called well nuts at the home improvement stores ?

Yes, they are called "well nuts", and yes, some Lowe's do carry them. Usually, they are 1/4-20 or 5/16-18 thread sizes.

I found mine at ACE hardware. .50 each

I found them at the local ranch supply store. I didn't need them. Just noticed they were there.:)

Yeah Lowes should have them. My little local mom-n-pop hdw store has then so I'd think Lowes would too, don't mean they do though.

I have noticed that Ace and Tractor supply have the best selection of miscellaneous hardware.
