OK i did the steering column fix and it was the four torx head bolts that were loose unfortunatly it caused the lower bearing to crap out half of the ball bearings are missing and the black plastic retainer is broken and chewed up. the upper bearing (tan) in all there but the bearings keep falling out but should be usable. Does anyone know if these are still available or can i adapt one from a chebby or furd? thanks

There is a kit to fix it and chevy parts will work too as it is basically the same thing. I don't run tilt wheels on 4x4's as the additional stress put on the column are a quick way to knock the stuffing out of a Saginaw Tilt Colunm.

The steering column is GM/Saginaw. Most of the column parts sre GM. You can still get new internal parts for the column. Unfortunately, the bearings come with the rack and sector.(the large aluminum key shaped thing and the gear thing that meshs with it.) The GM part is #7844651. If the kit costs more than $35, keep shopping. I hope that this helps.
