looks like we're going to pick this waggy up tonite. it's an 83 limited 1 owner (YES 1 OWNER), 140k miles, 37k miles on rebuilt 6 cyl engine. the work was done by st pete, chrysler jeep. it runs super smooth. it's real solid. has just a little rust on bottom of both rear quarters. the tan interior is really nice, cold A/C, cd player, remote door locks, all the window motors work. it just needs a new headliner. mechanically all it needs is a new ignition switch (for now) & it's ready to go. obviously it's been repainted so no wood:( . it's a pretty decent paint job though. the best part.....ONLY $1,225!!!! the guy's in his mid 70's, took very good care of it but just doesn't want or need it anymore...yay for us:D !!!! i think we got a fantastic deal on a great waggy to start fixing up & having fun with. thanks to everyone who responded to my post yesterday, much appreciated!!! now i need to sell my 86GW....anyone, anyone??

thanks all...we're very excited to get it. was going tonight but the owner said he wants to have a vacuum line fixed before he sells it to us....how nice is that?!? guess we'll just have to wait a few more days:( . yeah, it's definitely going to be my wife's daily driver (lucky) which means our TJ might start getting some "special attention"!!!!;)

Verry nice looking Wag you got coming there. With the BJs wood grain kit, you could add it with that as a great price. Looking forward to the interior shots.

i looked on BJ's & it says the whole kit is not available. are there any other places i can look to replace the wood & trim??

I was thinking of this kit... http://www.bjsoffroad.com/CartGenie/prod-527.htm but you are right. It does say they just have the trim. I was also thinking of this thread, posted recently... http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=106267&highlight=woodgrain
The best thing to do is contact Ryan (billyrb) and see if he has a clue as to when (and if) they intend on having the full kit available again.
Me and a couple of guys where talking about those vinyl graphic places maybe offering something if you had the trim. or there is a place that does Camo vinyl that would look sweet.
Get some of this and do it yourself with some strips.

Camo....lol....think we'll hold out for the wood :) . it suprises me that there aren't more outlets to restoring the wood & trim to original specs for every year. the BJ's is a little different like they say. oh well, it will be a little while before that part gets done anyway. thanks for the info! i appreciate it!!
