trouble is brewing..I can feel it starting

The past 2 days when I go to start the Beast I really need to pump the gas like crazy...and even then it doesn't really want to start. Could my fuel pump be going bad? How do you tell if it is starting to. The only other thing wrong with the engine that I know of is right now the idle is up high to compensate for my timing that needs to be adjusted, but this has been like this for months...Can anyone lead me in the right direction please!? :confused:

check for gas in the oil from the dipstick. they will start to leaks from the body sometimes when they go out as well.
