After years of running it stock with only fender trimming, body lift, 33s and the milemarker kit I'm finally upgrading.
New parts are dana 300, 14 bolt with discs, hd44, recentered H1s and the hummer 36s, SOA and shakle flip.
How it sits now.

I started with adapting the dana 300. Chevy 2wd 32 spline output and th400 to 208 adapter. Also had to order the 32 spline input for the dana 300.

All put together laying flat with no clocking ring.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to put it all in. There isn't any oiling issue with laying the transfercase flat right?

You're going to put it all in one morning? You work fast :P

I think 'flat' is the only way to put it in. Otherwise it'll hit the underside of the tranny hump. Good luck with the build and lemme know what I can do to help!

Should be ok as long as your driveshaft can handle the extra angle up front.

Well it's in but the dumbest things seem to happen to me. I was putting the last bolt into the torque converter and it went in smooth, but when I put the torque wrench on it it pulled the threads out. If I step up to a bigger bolt do yall think it will throw the balance off?

Yes. If it is an even bolt pattern, I would drill an tap the hole 180* out too. If it isn't an even pattern, I would drill and tap all of the holes.

There are only three bolts. Think putting a heli-coil insert in would mess up the balance?
Edit: I just looked out how much those kits cost so I probably won't do that.
I guess I'll pull the converter out, weld up the hole, drill and tap it. Unless anyone has a simple fix. It all went together way to easy for something to not go wrong.

It's all in a working! When you put it in gear it squats down until you let off the brake, it hasn't done that since the first year I had it. Good bye quadratrac!
Ended up just putting a longer bolt into the converter.
Tomorrow I plan on putting in the front soa hd44.

Finally getting around to the rear axle. Put the shackle flip together and those spring bolts were a b.
I slide the 14 bolt under the Jeep and it almost bolts in. It's like that on both sides.

Think it will hurt anything if I just bend the springs in alittle and bolt it up?
I have a set of new perches to weld on but the pinion angle looks pretty good too so I don't see the point of doing the work.

That's with the stock suspension hanging down without any weight.

If thats all the difference it is on both sides of the perchs, i think i would just pull the spring over and bolt it up.
Were you able to get the dana 300 in clocked that flat???
looks good

Sure was, I was just as amazed.
It's almost all put together. I'm thinking of going to the junk yard tomorrow to look for driveshafts. What types of trucks should I look under that might bolt right in to the Jeep?

Is there a CV or a single U-joint at the other end? It is tough to computer-jocky guess your angles based off a single image because it it hard to tell what the angle actually is and whether the camera angle is distorting things. As you know, if you are running single U-joints (no CV joints on the shaft) the actual angle of the pinion is irrelevant - all that matters is that it is parallel with the output shaft on the Tcase with a small allowance for spring-twist under power.

Lookin' good so far man!
how was the spline engagement from that 2wd TH400 output shaft into the Dana300?

No CV, but my angles are very good. Did any trucks come factory with one side 1310 and the other 1350 or should I just shorten my rear shaft and get one of those 1310 1350 u joints?

Thanks. I had to saw 3/4" off of the shaft, but after that it slide right in.

ONthe springs, is there room enough to slip in a spacer on the outside of the springs where they bolt to the jeep to bring them in a touch? Maybe shave a touch off the side of the bushings? Just enough to bring the springs back in line with the pearch?

I just pushed them over with my hand and bolted it up. :D

I have 2 rear driveshafts and one is from a one ton van. Come on over and grab them if you need them.
