I finally got my new flexplate and starter done. After sitting just about a year.
My Wagon needs the hoses replaced at the the gas filler going to the gas tank. One seems leak a small amount after a fill up.

The really bad news is I have to pass another smog test. I took her in last saturday and now there are TWO test for vehicles 1995 down to 1976. Ironically the new test checks for leaks and my wagon passed!!!
The old test (main test) my wagon failed.

Results:
NO (PPM)

MAX /GP / MEAS/RESULT/
15mph: 1056/2008/4177/ GP
25mph:1061/2016/3850/ GP

I have no idea what this means. But this what was highlighted on my inspection report.

The Smog test operator told I should look into the EGR system?
As well have the carb looked into probably running too lean?

Meanwhile, I am running out of places to store it until I can get the time and the money to repair it or have it repaired. I only have street parking where I live. California will ticket me and Steal my wagon and sell it at auction without my new tags. Which I already paid $255.00 for.
The DMV will NOT give me an extension because of a new law!!!

The DMV suggest I junk her!!! Can you guess what I suggest the DMV do?

EGR, ignition timing, 3-way catalytic converter.

NOx is created when the combustion chamber temps exceed 2500*. The EGR valve diverts some of you exhaust gas back into the intake to cool off the combustion chamber so you need to make sure it is working.

A lean carb and too high ignition timing can increase temps also.

A properly working 3 way cat knocks out some of the NOx emissions.

Thanks for the reply. I bought the Cat two years ago as well a brand new air pump. Had the carb rebuilt too.
