Rear Gate Troubles

For some reason the glass in my rear gate(when the window is down) is extremely loose. It has about an inch of play and I feel like I'm gonna shatter it everytime i slam the gate closed.

The gate was added off of another wag, what's missing thats making it move so freely in the gate?

Your side channels could be loose or missing the rubber inside them.

IIRC, BJ's sells new side channels with new rubber slides.

Nope, you're not dumb. Dumb would be not asking. ;)

But yes on both counts. You have ID'd the correct part. AFAIK, they are removable by unscrewing the two bolts on the side of your tailgate. (You have to have the tailgate open to do this).

I've never actually replaced mine. Someone who has could give you a better walkthrough vs. my speculation.
